ASEZ WAO Cleanup at Pelton Park in Yonkers, NY

On Thursday, September 18, 2025, over 30 young adult volunteers from ASEZ WAO gathered to clean Pelton Park in Yonkers, NY. New York State Assemblyman Nader Sayegh also attended the event and showed his support for the community once again.

ASEZ WAO organized the cleanup as part of the Green Earth campaign, a program that focuses on cleaning streets, parks, and forests to protect the environment. The campaign encourages young adults to take responsibility for their surroundings. Local organizations, including Whole Foods Market, supported the campaign and helped raise awareness for the event.

Committed to a Cleaner Outdoor Space

During the cleanup, volunteers spread out across the park and nearby areas to collect litter. They picked up 35 bags of trash, including plastics, paper, and other debris. In addition to removing waste, volunteers also organized recyclable materials to ensure they could be properly processed. Everyone involved took care to leave the park as free of litter as possible while enjoying the opportunity to spend time outdoors.
